Re: The 2006 GWOA AGM

Alas,
I shall not be there, every other responsible person is off on hols, and I am obliged to provide cover for the Cemetry over the weekend.
Now what was that that Elvis was saying about the wisdom of the AGM being bang in the middle of the hol season.
Have a good one,
Marcus

Re: The 2006 GWOA AGM

Who's coming along then? Me, Cliff and Merv can't drink all the beer (or can we? )

There's plenty of activities to keep us well occupied over the weekend.

Merv has managed to get us the use of two off road sites. Suitable for both shinnies, and not so shinny. Plenty of "non damaging" areas but still with plenty of opportunity to exercise those diff locks.

Did you know about the agm before you booked your trip to france? Had you known about the agm earlier, January for example, would you have booked your holiday for a diferent date?
Just idle curiosity.

It has been in the Calendar and noted in the members section since 2005.

Re: The 2006 GWOA AGM

Guys,

For the second year in succession, I am going to miss the GWOA AGM with all the sorrow in my heart....

I still remember the first AGM I attended to at the High Frontier 4WD Centre in Wiltshire on 3rd October 1998 as if it was yesterday.

You guys enjoy yourselves for I shall return!

Re: The 2006 GWOA AGM

I am considering attending, btw does one get a "gong" or anything for attending three in as row ?
BUT this will involve going back over the water, just after coming back from hols in bonnie England, could not do anything about dates of events being attended and could not take three weeks off work at this time, in order to stay on until AGM.
I do appreciate how much effort Mervyn and others have put into this first AGM weekend and I might even have said sommat at last years AGM to the effect that it was hardly worth coming such a long way , just for AGM.
It is OK to bring a couple of dogs?
Anyway, enough for now,
Marcus
