Hi

Can anyone recommend anyone in East Anglia, my 463 will fail its MOT next week and I need a complete system. The local garages are only suggesting original parts which are hugely expensive - any thoughts.

Feedback would be hugely appreciated.

I have one of these... they are not cheap but they are superb. And they do mail order...

Hi put powerflow exhausts into your search engine ...branches all over the country... the last LWB one we had done was all stainless steel from the manifold downpipes an exact copy GBP 425 inc vat..FYI we do not fit the full exhaust run any more because the original MB exhaust was built to meet TUV regulations in Germany..it actually discharges on the wrong side of the G' in the UK RHD. (into the pavement) so we remove it all and fit two oval 54cm long mufflers with the tail pipe discharge forward of the offside rear wheel GBP 290 Vat included...you would not know the difference... except in the pocket..have them remove all the old brackets and heatshields to keep it MOT tidy ......

Do you put the 2 mufflers in series under the driver's seat and dump it straight out the side? I have seen a guy who has done it with one large muffler like that. No cross over pipe at all.

Hi Roly... correct ....from the flanges on the down pipes... interface two pipes of similar diameter into the new front box then a single pipe to the second box then use the existing bracket located slightly forward of the rear wheel arch on the drivers side.set the outlet /tail pipe to an angle in the space between the tyre and the arch and cut the end to run in line with the body (same profile as the original outlet.... no crossover pipes... centre boxes or master muffler under the passenger side.watch the year of mnfctr for petrol /cat' conformity 1991 is a "Cat' not required year".... I have not tried a Cat' and one box scenario yet.....Powerflow will craft all this if instructed accordingly.....box lengths and interface plumbing will need to be adjusted for SWB G's
