I am thinking of buying a left hander from germany. What is involved?

Pretty easy.
Over 6 months old
change lights
swap reverse and fog light over.
register.
a post 2001 shows the speed in mph or kph so you don't need to swap the speedo.
don't forget
- sort out transport insurance
- get mot
- get Certificate of Conformity from MB (assuming it is not a UK spec model)
i never changed lights or speedo on mine and its ok.
