RHD G....???

I have a question. i was in a debate regarding G's not being available in rhd unless its the AMG version at a premium.

my brothers company he works with import rhd only mercedes into n-cyprus.lhd are strictly "not allowed entry for sales".

now,he tells me that his brother inlaw who arranges imports has placed an order for a swb :?

is it possible :?:

i think not,and i reckon they are not aware that G's except the AMG version only come in lhd.

I think that it is entirely possible.... I mean, it's only a matter of orders. Mercedes has currently on offer a RHD W461, the G280 CDI, for the Australian army, and the existence of a RHD G55K AMG means that the latest dashboard is available also in RHD so I guess that, in theory, they could produce a G500 or a G320 in RHD very easily.... A different issue would be a G320 CDI but given that a W461 exists in RHD with the same engine (literally same block, only different engine management systems) there is no excuse of the exhaust manifold of the turbo engines interfering with the RHD steering anymore. So what about convincing MB that there is a RHD market for a G320 CDI?????

very interesting info jesus.

n- cyprus has only ever imported 3 G's (civilian)

1.240 GD cabrio rhd with rear bench and viynl windows in 1983

and 2 300GDL's in 1991.

i will update any info i get regarding this rhd G.
