oil supplier (engine oil and synthetic gearbox oils)
Hi all, I know I am always harping on about the benefits of Mobil 1 (Marcus you know what I mean) I have found a supplier on the internet that does really good prices (£69.99 for 8 litres) theyre called opieoils in Cornwall, call guy on 01209 215164 . They have an ebay shop and deliver for free. Ask them about the Silkolene Syn 5 SAE 75-90 gearbox oil which you can use in the transfer case and the diffs, got to be better than the Halfords shite and about the same price.

i happen to be a fan of mobil1 as well, and found if you have a costco membership (www.costco.co.uk) it's the cheapest..about £24 per 4l bottle compared to 38 from halfords
Received my oil this morning from opieoils, the Silkolene gear oil looks good, says for "very high performance applications releases power and extends component life" don't know about that in the old G Wagen we shall see but it certainly exeeds all the specifications in the owners manual. I have always had good results with that brand before in bikes where the gearbox gets a real hammering so should be one less thing to worry about in the G.
