I'm not sure that this has your particular colour But Harald's 4x4ABC website has the original colour charts - at least for the US. I note that there is a green (which on my work PC looks black!) but it might be worth checking out this code at least. Harald's Colour Chart.

The other alternative is to check your colour code from your Vin decypher against the chart. MB Club Russia - Vin Decypher

I hope that this helps.

Thanks Guys, it looks like Russ's is definitely the same colour.
Are you sure of the name Russ? i know there is a colour called Cypress green which is nothing like the same shade.
Jonnyboy, it has been paid for & will have left my possession by next week.
The new owner will become apparent soon enough.

Harald's colour chart only includes the original palette available for the G-Wagen range from 1979-82.

Incidentally "Agave Green" listed is the colour of my G so here's a sample of how it looks like.

I also attach the colour chart valid for when your G was made.

Re: Metalic Green 1983

I used the vin decoder, entered my reg. number and it came up with a paint code. I took the code to a paint supplier and this is the colour he came up with. The spelling is as per the paint can. I was in the G at the time and he did look at it to confirm it was the colour. I think this maybe the only MB metallic green from that era. Harold's site did not list my colour, maybe it wasn't used in north america?

Having said all that I have not actually used it yet so I can not vouch for it being 100% correct shade.
