Well after a couple of weeks of ownership both rear springs have snapped at the base (common problem I believe) and both of the front shocks are dead.... I've decided to re-do both front and rear shocks & springs but I'm undecided whether to stick with manufacturers parts of look towards aftermarket?! I've been priced up for brown front springs and green rear springs at £133 & £200 with original spec shocks coming in at a similar price.. Would you go for original spec or maybe Blisteins instead?? I'll be using the truck for occasional towing (30-40 hay bales) and light off roading, but I don't really want to compromise ride quality.. Any advice would be much apreciated!

While I was pricing up the suspension I asked about a full exhaust system... £1325 from the down pipe back! I rang long life exhausts down the road & they'll build me a stainless one for £780... Needless to say which I'll be going for!

Re: Suspension

Springs, if you can afford go for Original, pattern ones always a compromise. Though people rate the ORC ones, (not cheap)but think that means a small lift in suspension.

Standard shocks are made by Sachs, good but Bilstein better but roughly double the price and again best to change all four......

How are your rear shock mounts? Prone to rust....
