Anyone recommend any places? I'm thinking rivers, mountains and rocks - what is the most extreme place you've been off roading in the UK?

Most extreme i've done is up in Wales.  mid area, around Brecon and a bit further North

There's loads of byways around where I live (Wiltshire), hundreds of miles of it, and Salisbury plain, but most of it is fairly easy going tracks.

Typical 500 driver........wink

If you want some rocks ,mud and water and things like that then Wales is your best bet. The north of England has the best rocks I am told but have yet to get there in the G.

My back garden is quite a good place to play and there is also the added danger from the wild life smiley.

Years ago we were driving in Argyll. It was early Autumn and around 4.00pm the sky darkened dramatically and the heavens opened. The rain was so heavy that the wipers couldn't cope. I had to stop. So there we were sitting patiently in the car waiting for the rain to clear when there was a noise by the passenger side front door.

It was a fair drookit heilan coo wantin' in frae the rain!!

Big Block -  Please I have told you before if your posting up such pics, you need to tidy up your back garden, looks rather messy....Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page. You could have at least cut the grass. We in the GWOA believe in tidiness Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Lenny - Hee hee you're funny..... do tell us about the Landrover Optional extra you have for off roading...Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

Hey Big Block.... any Royal Monarch/imperal's lawn mowers this year? :)

Hate it when the staff use the lawn mowers as dodge'em's?
