Hello all
Recently joined although I havent a G but have decided to sell the 123series and also my 4x4, if Im going to have enough capital to buy one.
I would be looking for a lwb 300d in as good condition as poss, a turbo conversion would be v favourable!
The question is can you give me a guide as to what price bracket the above vehicle would be in, Im thinking early 80's, (year not pounds) I have an idea but as they are rarely advertised Its difficult to judge.
Also, will most g's of this age have been welded and have some amount of body corrosion?
thanks in advance
Richard

Chances are they will have corrosion on the bottom of the rear door, under the taillights and at the base of the windshield.

You could spend up to roughly £3-4k for a nice one. It depends on how patient you are in your search.

Watch ebay. 4x4 section and refine search. There's often one in there. Recommend petrol if your serious offroading for the oomph factor.

hi richard, are you still looking for a lwb G ? I have one surplas to requirements, it fits your spec apart from the fact it is a 280 petrol, and has plenty of go. It was a vehicle i bought with the intention of converting to LPG, on a much bigger engine, but the existing engine is too good to take out and scrap. Let me know if you are interested. Mike Walker

Will keep in mind but I really need something more economical, would be ideal if it was a diesel or lpg but havent the time or money to start converting.
