      I understand Mercedes stated that

                                                             "For technical reasons it was not possible to build RHD Short G 50's"

                                Is this correct?   yes

                                If correct why not possible ?    no

Mercedes does not build any SWB any more with the exception of the convertible which is available in LHD; I assume it is lack of demand.

The Australian Defence Force only placed orders for the LWB G and 6x6 G chassis in RHD. It is only because of this bulk order that it was viable to offer the LWB G in RHD to the civillian market.

Unfortunately the ADF did not have a use for a SWB G in RHD otherwise there might have been a civilian version on offer.

Could be worse. We could be all ocd by defenders.. They not alloeed make new passanger ones as if you crash one you will be hurt worse than the poor soulls in the nissan micra......
