100 bhp makes it rare indeed
I would love to buy it at 1/4 of the price. Do you think this guy has been smoking something?
Hi
Vin Number is WDB 46033327063473 ...it was advertised 6 months ago and before that along witha similar coloured 463 that had a" pink" leather interior.. last price advertised at £10.000 + ON A DIFFERENT REGISTRATION!!! must be the cost of the Personal Plate is now included..As I remember it has a limited service history chap selling it tells me he bought a white LWB 1999 RHD turbo diesel to replace it
With that vin number it's an 86 or 87
Maybe there is £10k in the glove box !
Hi Specialist Cars had it for sale @ £12995 in December 2012 and the other one from the same owner was for sale by Oakleigh Cars in Buckinghamshire and probably still is.....
United Arab Nations? :-)
Reg:- D2 UAN (Sudan or United Arab Nations)
Sudan? Yes that could work... 2UDAN !!
I think it is the best looking G for the price, with touch screen Sat-Nav and flip down monitor TV/DVD Player. I am very interested.
UNA = Future Arab dream of United Arab countries (Nations) it makes sense.
Tell me where can I get one like that for £4,000, quarter of the asking price?
I spoken with the seller; he is genuine, modest, decent, professional, industrialist young man (definitely not a druggy). If you got any question, please ask him instead of you whinging like little girls with nothing better to do. By the way it is defiantly first registered in UK on the 22 Feb 1989.
I ask Fixwin38; how did you get the chassis number? From the seller isn’t? If he is not trusting and nice person, he would not have given you the number. Not nice of you to slag him off like that. Did you pretend to buy it of him to get the number? I think it is jealousy; knocking his G down to sell your automatic petrol, asking price £17,995?? What is the link? http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/3737738.htm
hello Jay,
welcome to the GWOA forum. Introduce yourself and your G wagen or are you looking?
Hi Jay
As you can see from the information I have posted about the G Wagon D2 UAN I had the history in archive from the time the original owner put it on Autotrader (with a different registration) along with his LWB Almandine red 463 .
.In trying to determine what justified the extremely high asking price .....
I sought to confirm that D2 UAN was the same vehicle by vin number I researched it by the vin and advised the current owner of the history as I have it in archive... and sent him a copy of the MB factory printout... at the same time telling him that the owner of a late model Petrol 463 currently advertised on Pistonheads may have an interest in D2 UAN ..He then asked for the details of the LWB 463...I subsequently advised the current owner of D2 UAN that the 463 owner had expressed no interest after being advised of the price being asked and the service history as known....
Well, that's a good start. Joined today and already being rude about people on the forum. Bear in mind many of them have an expansive knowledge of G Wagens and some are in the trade and therefore have more information.
What a pointless post, just to insult people
Well Jay, at ¼ of the price I would buy it. Where will you find one for that price? Right here in good old North Wales! I have just bought a 1989 LWB 300 turbo diesel, with full MB service history extra set of tyres 91 000 miles, aircon and MB roof rack, 9 seats, bull bar, etc, etc for £5 000. It does not have all the drop down screens etc, which I’m not interested in in any case, but it is in superb condition. Tell you what, if you are looking for a good car, you can get this one for £12 000, it would be great buy and I would even deliver it for free anywhere in the UK.
Next time rather ask than trying to be a wise guy, Fixwin also offered me a 460 300D for around that price range, but the one I bought had al the extra’s and service history with low mileage.
If you are interested in my car, let me know, I will buy be happy to sell and buy myself another, or prove your point and buy the drop down screen one.
Perhaps Jay already has a nice G, he's trying to get £16000 for it, possibly to buy fixwins.
Jay, this is a G Wagen enthusiast site, cars that come up on the market get put under the microscope. Thats the way it works. Genuine perspective buyers are grateful off the advice and information.
If it is your G, then you are more then welcome to come here and defend your G, but you are not welcome to come here and slag others off.
You have to make at least 30 posts before you can do that. ;-)
Hi all , the proof will be if it sells at around the asking price !
Silence is golden, golden, tra la laa.
Welcome to the forum Jay
I probably would have just said hello rather than going head to head to with other members! And of all the members to pick....
You will find most of the guys on here are well clued up and can give help and advise on pretty much any issue you have (if you ask nicely). Fixwin is one of the best, in my honset opinion. (Not the best off-roader though, coz thats ME! ;) )
Hello Jay. I don't think that you really understand what G wagon ownership is about if you think that a flip down screen and a DVD player makes your 'friends' G more desirable than say Fixwins.
Your 'friend' is asking a lot of money at £16,000 for a 1989 460 with 119,000 miles that has been made to look like a later model 463. Fixwin is offering a genuine 1994 463 with 66,000 miles for only £2000 more. It is five years younger with half the mileage. How does your 'friend' justify such an over inflated price for his one.
Buyers with genuine 'perspective' - that's what we need;)
Silence is golden? In your case, since when?
Don't you bloody start as well now, remember you still want some nice sidesteps for your "Blingmobile". Not to mention borrowing some bull bar brackets.
So keep quite and go and bake us a cake or something.
+1
No Huss, the previous one was red, this one is silver, but will end up 123 condenced milk white, why, because it is mine and I can do whith it whatever I whant to. When the engine is out I'll do the bay as well.
Lower ratio diffs, 606 na, 35" mud terrains and if I can afford it leather interior (thick strong stuff).
That is how you butcher a good find!
Thought it was supposed to be you baking US a cake. I am after all gracing you with my presence
Still recon your hankering after a 500 :)
Spider1V
How many times have I asked to buy yours? No you can keep it! Let it rot on your drive for all that I car, soon I will be driving my dream again, hopefully to Morocco.
STT, fitted under warrentee by MB at the time of sale. All the paperwork says is Turbo fitted, and it was from MB.
only 20 MPG?.............. watch this space...................will blow your mind.....................

Hi
from your description of the paperwork your engine was retrofitted with a turbo at the request of the MB dealer ...probably by Turbo Technics in Northampton the engine serial number will confirm that the basic engine build was non turbo from the factory ...there was never a production RHD 460 or 463 G' built for the UK market..the only factory built engines were for USA or military markets for LHD G's and have a different model / serial number OM 617 - 950 951 and 952 for factory bult turbo diesel engines
Hi Guys, Just for your reference, Hiam is not my friend .
Fixwin: I like your answer; you seem a very polite well diverse G Wagen enthusiast .
Audiomix: (Just a polite answer) I do enjoy a good constructive and helpful comments without unnecessary rudeness to anyone .
Dentsmithy: Thank you for welcoming me. I am looking to update my short base 1988 with a long base 5 doors preferably turbo diesel with air-con and hopefully get all the help I need .
LEEU: Thank you for the info; I went to see it in Brighton, as it is not too far from London. Hiam has done a major service to it, has a new clutch + thrust bearing, new tyres and it does look stunning and fun to drive. It has a genuine 119,000 miles. I offered him £12,500 and left him to think about it. He was willing to reduce the price to £14,500. I am waiting to see what happen .
Can any one suggest where can I convert it to turbo and is it worth doing that? I appreciate all your comments .

Jay, £16 000 is not too much for a 460, if someone is willing to that for it, and some people have strange ideas. Something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it, and I am pretty sure nobody is going to pay £16 000 for a 460. I am looking at changing back to 460, I sold the one I offered to you within a day after mentioning it on here, ok not for £12k, but I still made a good profit on it. That car was to good to start customising, so I’m looking again.
Now you are taking a better tone, feel free to ask questions, but if you going to come to this forum and be a wise-ass, you will not be here for long. We are all enthusiasts, and most of us know a thing or 2 about a G Wagen. We as a group have dropped parts for members who have broken down all over the world. I have personally had a plane drop a transfer case and tool set (and a cooler full of beer) for a G500 in the middle of the Namib, I got springs to send to Iceland last year, Merv stripped a diff and took pictures for me when I broke a diff in Rural France and couriered me the parts and tools, etc, etc.
We are a group who cares, and help each other, feel free to contribute, and most importantly try to have fun!
Lastly, you asked about engines and turbos, look through the site, you will basically find that
1 – it is easy to turbo that car, but you have to keep the pressure so low that it is not all that more power. (I have a turbo and manifold for you)
2- the options of engine conversions are endless, how deep are your pockets? I still have a monster turbo diesel 6 cyl engine, ready to go into your car.
Oh, good of you to give me a polite answer. So what was the rude one? My comment was meant to show that it was totally unnecessary to approach the comments on here with that attitude.
I have just had a crash and have been hugely impressed with the people on here (most of whom I have never met) who have offered help, advice and parts. So I feel quite strongly that someone who comes on here just to be rude about the members is completely out of order. If that is not what you are about, then so be it.
You know what you can do with your £2.5k, and don't mention the fact that has been rolled so many times on here, I might still sell it for £12-13k. It does have a Tom Tom after all.
The insurance spent £18k on it, and it already looks 20 years old again.
Ps: I still have that 606 with the Myna pump, so if you've got some money to burn, £2.5k will get you close.

lwb rhd td dont , you know perfectly well thats fiction in terms of factory production !
this guys is havin a laugh....
