I am buying another G ,,yarrrrrrrr
After a few years wondering around G less the time has come to get a run around after looking at how the prices for 460 in the UK seem to have doubled in the last three years plus I wanted something a bit different Peugeot P4s looked interesting but as the ones in the UK are lacking doors and other fittings so I looked at France as but the exchange rate as Fred pointed out is grim ....
So Im off to Norway on Sunday to collect a 1983 240GD ex-military long wheel base , as 461 Military go there quite high spec, roof rack fitted , wabasto , plug in heater in the engine block , and all sorts of bits of winterising going on . yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Being an older G there will be some problems but thats part of the fun .
I will post some piccys when its In the UK

Thay dont sell military Gs only service them for the Norwegian army the armoured Gs are used for royal protection dutys .

Spider its a air con unit fitted for Afganistan .
Just a quick update ,
Half way though the repaint still have the wheels and roof rack to go , I know MOT needs to be done but that black paint had to go ,,
How you painting it, gun or brush? Is it a specific paint code for ? If so what nation?
Mate all I wanted to do was get rid of the painted with a dead chicken look so its been sprayed with NATO green satin finish
Hope your going to put some tyre shine on those Tyres ;o)
and some nice wood and carpet?

Did you paint the canvas?
No Chris the tilt was power washed to get as much of the black paint off as possable .
Passed its UK MOT just the paperwork to sort out and its on the road in the UK and beyond ,,,yarrrrrrrrrrr
