G Heading off for holiday
My G Wagon headed off to-day for engine transplant. Fixwin38 duely collected this mroning - way too far to drive under own steam. Looking forward to the difference with the 606a Engine. Photo's of departure attached...
Might loose the bull bar on front aswell...
It's going for more than a holiday, more like a heart transplant. All the best for the patient
I'l be following progress closely as it was a conversion I considered seriously when I owned a 92 300gd
I would follow the Nike principal..........................Just do it!

@ Derekfinn....
Disco2's (and most other LR products) are renound for being pretty unreliable. I run a 90 & 110, have LR through my body like a stick of rock, but I'm moving over to the dark side of a G wagon.
The disco 2 air bags usually leak, it's where the top folds down onto itself and then cracks around the bent-over rubber. No way it was "your" fault, it's just one of those things.

Borrowed a Land Rover Disco 2 for the duration while my G is out - thought it might give me a new perspective on Land Rover. I was wrong about changing perspective, they are still unreliable. I only have it a couple of days and the rear suspension on one side is sitting down. Takes a couple of hours but looks awful. I don't know much about these yokes, but I think there is an air leak in the left suspension (air ride suspension). Lifts up again when engine on and seems to stay up. I can hear the compressor labouring to keep it afloat.
The owner says he never had this issue with it and that I broke it so I fix it.
Tempted to drive it into a skip for him to come collect.
