EVO Magazine
Interesting article in latest issue of EVO about driving G350 to the former East Germany in celebration of G Wagen's role as a Q car during the cold war. Don't think there's any links available at present.
Conclusion of article:
'It's not, in any sense, a performance car - but it is a hugely likeable thing and, in a world filled with pretend off-roaders, it's still very much the genuine article.'
Good words!
good words indeed ! makes a change from reading clarksons crap !!!!!!
thanks for sharing. would love to read the article sometime...

Good article in issue 163. An all too brief account of the sole surviving BRIXMIS 280GE which was one of several used in the 1970's for gathering military intellignece in East Germany. There is one photo of the 280 GE which is currently an exhibit in the British Military Intelligence Museum in Bedfordshire. A former driver recounts, among other things, being chased down an autobahn by a Soviet helicopter gunship. A good article and a fuller interview would be a worthy subject for a future issue of G WIZZ.
.. and Bill Moss gets a name check in it too...
