G500 SWB,ELEGANCE,RHD, automatic (1999). For sale my much cherished G500. Genuine UK car, 1 previous owner. The car comes with a full history file starting with the original bill of sale up to the recent B service, MOT and 4 new Pirelli tyres. The car is in Azurite Blue, it has air con, full grey leather interior, electric heated seats, multi function steering wheel, Mercedes stainless steel running boards, reversing sensors, heated front windscreen, it also has G55 AMG wheels. I have owned the car for 4 years and this G has been my fourth. New G forces reluctant sale. It is a stunning car and they are extremely hard to find. Ring for more details. £27,000
I don't know the G, but if it has a 5.4L engine, it might be a AMG 5.5L G which in RHD is very rare. Owner should be doing a bit more to sell it. But he says it's a G500 so it probably isn't
It's a G500 that's it short wheel base.
Wheels were added at a later date.

Hi
What do you get when you phone the numbers in the advert?? I just did and the lady who answered said it was sold before they could add the pictures.....
My guess, and it is only a guess, is it is one I called about in my hunt.
It was advertised on Pistonheads as a 1998 with 99,990 miles - basically a whisker under 100,000 miles. Although the chap said he was using it, so the figure may go up. The asking price was the same as that quote above, the colour was the same and the ad read the same.
At first it was listed as needing to be sold because he had bought a newer one but when I spoke with him the story changed to needing to be sold because of a business opportunity.
The car was described as mint but when I started asking question it seemed there were quite a few small jobs that needed doing, the maintenance was on the light side, and it may have been neglected. After talking to him, I wasn't in a rush to drive to go and see it.
As it happened, the one I bought came onto the market and it was the first one I looked at where the sellers description and my opinion of the vehicle matched up; therefore, I never bothered to look at the 1998/99 SWB.
Whilst only my experience, I came to believe you get what you pay for when buying a G-Wagen and many sellers who describe their cars as mint or even good condition have a very different idea of what those words mean to my own understanding.
Well said, and true another persons impression of MINT is far from others always!

He specifies the wheels as AMG, so it's unlikely that it's a G55. Maybe he's done a transplant or it might just be typo. In any case no pics is a bit odd.
