Only let down IMO by those seat covers... if they seats were kosher the vendor would not hide them!

Note the GWOA sticker on the windscreen. Does it belong to anyone here?

not G wagon fog lamps and the screws in sill side strips are the wrong colour ...apparently some recent cosmetic work but not much attention to detail

hi agree with you fred, but i would like to see proof of the work csrried out on the vehicle as it could have been done well or
quite of opposite..

you can never be too sure these days mate.

i reckon the rear door wasnt shut hard enough. the rear panels above the petrol filler have no reflections. very badly resprayed.
my 500G was sprayed in a barn and had better finish.

but a G is a G. we all love em, right, no matter what.

rgds to all

hus

[btw morty, wheres all your expedition posts gone to mate ? WE MISS THEM !!]

Rear door hinges have not been lined up correctly when it was blown over or at a later date. the best way to set the door is with out the seal and with some pressure on the top rail above the window. When the seal is back in it will straighten out. I found this when i reassembled mine after welding the back on . Do it square and it will shut wonky.

10 min job to sort

Shiney and not my cup of tea without alloys and arches, but my real bugbear is to call it a wagon and not a wagen. Petty but true.
Even with the low mileage and the paint job, its still a basic 85 car so starting at 4.5k seems a lot, IMO, but good luck with it.

Re: A 230GE that looks the part

I reckon this guy's a bit of a dealer.

Went to see another 280GE LWB 2 or 3 months ago, he had it on eBay.  It was in fair condition, although the auto gearbox kept slipping in and out of first on a steep hill, according to him it wasn't a problem........  Anyway, I thought it was overpriced at £7k (think it was a 1988 model).  He said he'd had it a long time and would be very sad to see it go etc etc.

Then not long after that one - here he is again, using almost the same working in his ad with just a few alterations......  BEWARE!
