Can anyone tell me the Wheel bolt torque settings for a 461? I had just removed my wheels and had to use a 3/4" drive with a pipe to get the bolts loose, if I had had a puncture on the road I would never have got them loose with the original wheel brace!

I forgot to mention they are steel wheels.

Re: Wheel bolt torque settings

180 Nm for steel, 130 Nm for alloy

The steel wheel bolts should be 58mm long compared to 69mm for the alloy bolts. Note the bolts look similar but do not use alloy spec bolts for steel wheels as the shoulder is slightly different and will cause the bolts to  work loose.

180Nm there is no way you would achieve that with a small wheel brace. 36kg at 500mm distance

Re: Wheel bolt torque settings

Thanks Howard & Roly,

The original three section jack handle (pipe) fits snug over the wheel brace bar that gives me a length of 90cm max Roly.

I will only be using it to undo the bolts if I have a puncture on route, I will use my torque wrench normally at home.
