Wanted G Wagon 463 as a donor vehicle.

Hi All,

I just bought a G 463 which has been parked for 7 years in the open, badly coroded. After a search for a G for the last many years this is about the closest I got to one.  We can not import a vehicle older than 2 years to Sri Lanka and anything that new is unaffordable for me. My Plan is to purchase a RHD 5 door G wagon for very reasonable price and strip it parts and bring it in without the chassis which is the leagal requirement. Please email some pics if any one has one for sale and price. Requirement as above even a accident / Salvage vehicle is fine as I can may be get the damaged parts from another.

Sorry Guys. It is a left hand drive long wheel base 5 door that I picked up. But I need it to be right hand drive here in Sri Lanka. It was used by a NGO and if i'm to transfer to civilian it has to be right hand drive. The interior is prety much ruined and the engine has not run for seven years. So was looking at a whole vehicle with a six cylinder engine and auto gear box with the diffs too if Im to get one. NO chasis. Saying so, cost does matter too as it need to be dimanteled shipped and duty paid and re assebled. Low budget but crazy about a G.

Hello Prashan,

Welcome to our forum.

You need to be a bit more clearer in what you are requesting for.

I am assuming your vehicle is a Right Hand Drive; you have not said if it is a LWB or SWB, nor if it is a Petrol or Diesel. Please clarify.

I am also of the impression, that you want a whole vehicle except for the chassis. Aside from the body, does that mean you want the engine and transmission drive including front and rear axles? Finally are you after an automatic or manual?

Following Rakesh's questions it just strikes me that you might not need the G to be RHD at all.

I mean, prices for used RHD Gs are 30 to 50% dearer than similar LHDs... Supply is obviously greater.

And if the problem is that the bodywork of your G is badly corroded it does not make any difference to use a LHD donor instead. You mentioned that your G is a 5-door, hence LWB.

You can buy the bodywork only, which will undoubtedly be cheaper that the whole car.
