  2014 AGM Shrewbury Saturday 20th September 

  Please ink in the date of Saturday 20th September for this years AGM which will take place at the brand new Mercedes Dealership in SHREWSBURY starting at 11.00a.m.

   This has all been made possible through the generosity of Mr. DAVE BUXTON, Dealer Principal at the site.  

He has been a G Wagen enthusiast since the 460 s  were launched and is well known to the Club.  

  The new building is still in the final stages of construction and promises to reflect the latest Mercedes technology available in the country. 

   Proceedings get under way at 11.00 a.m. sharp with members invited to arrive from 10 00. a.m. onwards.

 Shrewsbury is easily reached at the end of the M.54 with the new site a mere ten minutes from the end of the motorway.    

We finish the AGM as usual at 1.00 p.m. when tea/coffee and refreshments will be available.

             This year we aim to make a full weekends programme with off roading available on the Saturday afternoon near to CARROG railway station near CORWEN, the home of the famous Llangollen steam line.    A spectacular camping site awaits us with a barbeque booked and a pub only ten minutes walk across the scenic Dee river by way of the 12th century bridge.

   We will include details of hotels, b & bs nearer the time.

Sundays activities have yet to be finalised , but we are within a short distance of some really outstanding forest tracks so watch out for further news.    Steam railway enthusiasts will be interested to learn that the line from CARROG to CORWEN has now been complete
